During your assessment and trial onboarding time, we’ll get to learn about your unique needs, abilities, and goals. You’ll learn about how we approach strength training and what makes us unique in a cluttered marketplace of fitness options.
You will be introduced to our six KPI tests and how you perform on them will determine how your training journey at KING Strength will begin. If you’re cleared by a trainer, you will be cleared to take our strength training based Group Training Classes. If you need a little more time to develop, personal training and physical therapy may be viable options to ensure you develop the proper foundation to progress safely through your training journey.
At the end of your trial period, you’ll know of King Strength & Performance is the right fit for you. You’ll meet with our team and pick the membership option that works best for you and watch how your life transforms. Whether that be Private Personal Training, Semi-Private Training or Group Classes.
Trial offers, single sessions and paid-in-full memberships are a one-time payment. Other memberships are a monthly installment over 6 or 12 month periods.
Transparency is important to us, we know most gyms don’t display their pricing but we have nothing to hide.
And of course, ask all your questions! We want you to be happy and matched with the right program.
Group Training Classes are our main foundation. They are based on the same strength training philosophy as our personal training, just modified to work in a larger group setting (up to 16 people). We have classes for beginners, for experts, for fitness junkies, for stressed out individuals, and for relief seekers. We have Strength, Conditioning, FRC/Mobility, and Arm Farm class types; which, offer a complete training experience for all our group class members.
Our classes incorporate all the necessities needed for an effective training program: mobility, strength training, conditioning and regeneration. The results: greater relative strength and work capacity (endurance), and improved body composition.
Each class is 60-minutes long and will include movement prep, mobility, corrective exercises, strength and conditioning, cool downs, stretching and a team-based atmosphere. For a complete training package
Group Training Class memberships are grant you access to all three KING Strength locations: Cranford, Metuchen, and Livingston.
Minimum Age of 16 to participate in our Group Training Classes. If you’re under 16 years old, please refer to Private or Semi-Private personal training options below.

No cancellation fee for month-to-month memberships. 12-month commitment contracts have an early-cancellation fee of 70% of the remaining total. Semi-Private Training at King Strength & Performance is the same type of individualized and customized programming you get with 1-on-1 training. The only difference is you’re sharing the time of a personal trainer with up to 4 other people. You get all the attention you need and all the room to thrive. It’s a team-oriented approach and it’s highly effective.
You may be working out side by side with a person who is rehabbing an injury, training for an Ironman, someone improving their body composition, a new mom working her way back to pre-baby fitness, or maybe a recent retiree who is lifting weights to offset the effects of so many decades. Everyone is here for their own reasons, working on their own program, experiencing and enjoying the camaraderie of working hard together.

Private Personal Training at King Strength & Performance is the highest level training experience. You have the trainer you’re working with undivided attention for the duration of your session. Private training brings you a custom individualized program and coaching that helps you hit specific goals, build back from injury, or prepare for a specific athletic endeavor.
Private Personal Training is the fastest and most efficient way to achieve your fitness goals.

Active Private and Semi-Private Personal Training clients may elect to add Unlimited Group Training classes for an additional $100/month.
REGISTRATION POLICIES
BOOKING
You can register for classes up to 1 week in advance.
If no one is registered for a class time by the 1-hour booking deadline then the instructing trainer will cancel that class for the day.
If you do not register for a class, you will not be allowed to participate. If you miss the registration deadline, please text us at 908-402-2177 to let us know and we’ll add you to the class roster.
CANCELLING
Up to 3 hours in advance without a late-cancel charge.
WAITLIST
The option to enter a waitlist will appear for any classes that are booked to capacity. Trainers check the waitlist for classes they instruct and will occasionally be able. If any registrants cancel, class spots will also open and the app will automatically add registrants up to 2 hours before the start of a class time. Please note: If you are are wait-listed for a group class we assume you will attend if you get in, otherwise you will be charged per above. Make sure you check up to 45 minutes prior to class start time to see if you have a spot. If you anticipate not making it to class and are wait-listed please make sure you remove yourself from the wait-list to allow the next person to be notified should a spot open.
CREDIT CARD ON FILE
Our system requires having a credit card on file for any type of membership option in case of any potential fees that may be incurred. Credit cards are stored securely in our system and once entered, we do not have the ability to access the full credit card information beyond the last 4 digits, card issuer, and the billing address you’ve entered.
HOW TO CHECK THE CLASSES YOU ARE REGISTERED FOR
In case you want to be extra sure you have not accidentally booked class times you do not plan to attend or for any reason, open your KING Strength app > My Schedule tab > Upcoming Services tab. This is also where you may cancel any registered classes.
FEES
We’ve managed to run the gym for 4 years without having extraneous fees except for ones we’ve found significant:
You’ll never be assessed any fees or charges if a cancellation comes from the gym or is related to an emergency weather situation that affects your area of travel.
CANCELLED BOOKINGS
If no one is pre-registered for a particular group class time 1 hour prior to session start time, the designed instructor will not show up to instruct unless otherwise specified to. This policy is to reinforce the usage of the King Strength and Performance app. If you have any issues pre-registering please email us at kingstrengthperformance@gmail.com and we’ll get it straightened out.
This also applies for Private and Semi-Private Personal Training. The policy remains a use it or lose it policy up 1 hour prior to session start time.
MEMBERSHIP CANCELLATION POLICY
If you commit to a contract agreement, and request to cancel before the term is completed, we will charge 70% of the remaining contracted total. You must submit your cancellation request 2 weeks prior to your next scheduled billing cycle date. To break a contract, you must (1) move a minimum of 15 miles away from a King Strength and Performance location, (2) Medical emergency with doctor’s note.
SUSPENSION POLICY
We allow (1) suspension per year up to 3 Months in duration (90 days). To request a suspension, you must submit your suspension request 2 weeks prior to your next scheduled billing cycle date. To extend contract suspension longer than 90 consecutive days, a rate of $25 per membership per month will be automatically charged.
